The Best Homemade Chili

Chili 
2 lbs               Ground Beef
1/4 cup          Green Bell Pepper
1/4 cup          Red Bell Pepper
1                      Onion
2 cloves          Garlic
2 stalks           Celery
1-14.5oz can  Diced Tomatoes
1-6oz               Tomato Paste
1 cup               Beef Broth
1                       Jalapeno Pepper
1-15oz can     Chili Beans
1-15oz can      Kidney Beans
1 Tbsp             Chili Powder
1/2 tsp             Oregano
1 tsp                 Cumin
2-1/2 tsps        Salt
2-1/2 tsps        Black Pepper

 

​In a frying pan season the ground beef with 1-1/2 tsps of salt and 1-1/2 tsp of pepper and brown for 6 minutes.  After 6 minutes drain off the fat then set ground beef aside for later.   In a separate pan add the olive oil and saute the onion, celery, red pepper, green pepper and jalapeno pepper for 5 minutes.  After 5 minutes add the ground beef, diced tomatoes, tomato paste and beef broth.  Add the garlic, cumin, oregano, chili powder, 1tsp salt, 1tsp pepper and mix well.  Lastly add the chili beans and kidney beans mix and cover.  Allow it to cook on low heat for 2 hours stirring ocassionally. After 2 hours remove from heat and serve.
