Use your favorite type of bread.

cheddar cheese
Shredded or sliced.

tomato soup
Canned or homemade preferred.

butter
Softened for spreading.
Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet. Layer with cheese and top with another slice of bread, butter side up.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese melts.
In a separate pot, heat the tomato soup over medium heat until warmed through.
Slice the sandwiches in half and serve with the hot tomato soup.
Notes
For added flavor, mix in some herbs or spices into the tomato soup.
