Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the butter mixture.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
